This program is for EVERYONE regardless of age, ability, fitness level, or previous training experience.
The Strength and Conditioning class was created to promote general fitness and well-being, and as a supplement to jiu-jitsu, kickboxing, and MMA training. This program is designed to facilitate increases in functional strength, aerobic/anerobic capacities, and mobility. For the Torres Martial Arts members regularly training in BJJ, kickboxing, or MMA, taking measures to promote longevity in the martial arts and in your training is an absolute priority.
A key focus of this strength and conditioning program is on injury prevention by building strength and stability in injury prone areas such as the knees, shoulders, back, and neck. In this class, proper lifting mechanics and technique wil l be thoroughly demonstrated and taught in order to promote a safe tra ining environment, as well as modified movement and scaling options to accommodate everyone's ability level.
